Job Summary
Responsible for the development and implementation of JJSV marketing/product role for the Taiwan in support of achieving sales and profit objectives for current and future products and increasing shareholder value for J&J.
Works with sales team to develop or identify new product opportunities in conjunction with regional marketing. Develops relationships with customers, opinion leaders, sales personnel, and management within the matrix to obtain and provide technical, professional and managerial leadership and support for our products to increase awareness and maximize sales and profits. Develops and implements promotional tactics that are consistent with strategic goals for the product line.
Requirements
Education and Experience
The ideal individual should have a minimum of 8 years total work experience, including at least 3 years of which is experienced in marketing or marketing-related. Relevant language skills applicable to the position are highly desired. Experience in Sales or working with a sales force is also important, and ideally this person should have had involvement in Ophthalmology or related industries. A Medical related with a bachelor’s degree a requirement and MBA is desired.
Essential Skills And Abilities
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
This individual must possess the ability to both effectively lead and influence, especially as much of the work will involve interfacing with others who are not direct reports. In this regard the development of strong cross functional relationships is also essential. There must be a definite knowledge and appreciation for the development of programs and products that meet the needs of the ultimate customers while providing appropriate ROI to the corporation. Having the ability to interact effectively with the Surgeon Professionals is a must. In addition this person must be a strong team leader as well as team player. Initial knowledge of the Surgical business is preferable, yet not mandatory, but the person must be a quick study to get up to speed quickly on the general and technical aspects of the business.
- Effectively manage the product to achieve maximum sales & margin (topline /bottom line)
- Plan, track and control A&P spending
- Ensure accurate demand forecasts and provide inputs to management on a monthly basis.
- Provide insights on key market issues and competitive positioning, customer needs, and market potential
- Champion product and therapeutic area knowledge in the organization
- Develop marketing plan and commercial strategies according to given timelines
- Translate strategy to implementation tactics; communicateand collaborate with the cross functional team members and sales team(s) to drive for results
- Grow the assign product portfolio(s) through innovativecommercial programs.
- Set and monitor SMART KPI(s) and leading indicator for success.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and identify commercial opportunities /unmet needs in a timely fashion
